Meet the Cubs

I became a mommy to my 1st little cub in 2018. It was a dream pregnancy full of indulging in lots of crawfish and ice chips, dancing to Fleetwood Mac with my baby girl in her bump, buying allll the little tutus and bows, and being showered with excitement from family and friends plus my own butterflies of excitement about having my 1st baby. The birthing experience was so easy I couldn’t believe it. As I brought my sweet girl into the world my mom held one of my hands while my mom-in-law held the other (talk about GIRL POWER) and my husband was just beaming watching it all, ready to cut the chord when our baby girl arrived. Afterwards, all of my brothers and dad-in-law joined the room with a celebratory glass of champagne. It was absolutely perfect and I’m so thankful for that experience. 💗

I became a mommy to my 2nd little cub, a sweet little brother, in 2020. But like everyone else’s plans that year, another “dream” pregnancy was laughed at and stomped on by Covid…I was so afraid of the unknown I left the house maybe 5 times between April and July, and 3 of those were for doctor’s appointments. Relationships were strained, I was one of many who got laid off due to the crippling effects that a world in quarantine had on so many industries, and overall I was just in a lot of emotional pain during a time I wanted to be nothing but happy for the sweet baby I was carrying. It was definitely a less peaceful pregnancy than the 1st, and as for the birthing story? Yeah, NOTHING peaceful about that this time around either. 🥴

BUT as much as I was struggling during this time and as last minute as it was, I still booked a maternity shoot for myself bc I wanted one moment to look back on that was about the good during this time, not the bad. I’m so glad I did. I will cherish these photos even more so because of the beauty (my baby boy, that is) that came out of such chaos. 💚

Fast-forward to today:

Meet my “Anna Bear”, Alianna Rene. She is my 3 year old WILD ONE, who starting bouncing around 24/7 in the womb and hasn’t stopped. She loves dancing, swimming, wrestling with her daddy, and she isn’t afraid of anything (which scares me VERY much 😬😂). She also loves socializing with other kids which makes her a great play date! Fleetwood Mac is her favorite band 💗 and she is a great big sissy who absolutely ADORES her baby brother. 🥰

Meet our sweet little “Brother Bear”, Isaiah David. He’s 18 months old and Mr. Chill 😎 (unless he’s hungry 👀). He loves to walk around (he is a new walker, took his first steps a couple of weeks ago!!), discover and practice saying new words, playing with allll the musical toys, and he loves to dance. Before I had him I thought I was only meant to be a girl mama, and boy did he show me otherwise..I quickly fell head over heels in love with my little guy and I’m so glad I get to experience having both genders!

The inspiration for kicking off my blog and the littlest loves of my life. ♥️ I look forward to sharing them with you!
